Brown’s 6-5 righty Drew Nelson is already an Ivy League problem
In the 2026 season, freshman/sophomore-status RHP Drew Nelson became Brown’s swing arm with a power frame (6-5, 215) and a starter’s workload, leading the Ivy League in league games with a 0.90 ERA at one point and earning back-to-back Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors. He also showed real bat-missing upside and durability, including an 8.0-inning shutout start against Harvard and 15 scoreless innings over a strong stretch. Why care? He looks like a competitive, high-upside strike-thrower who can anchor a rotation, though the early-season ERA fluctuations suggest there’s still development ahead.
