Former Louisville Big Man and Team Leader
David Padgett was a 6-foot-11 center for Louisville who stood out as a dependable, high-IQ interior player and leader, earning First Team All-Big East honors in 2008 after a strong senior season. A former McDonald's All-American and top-rated center in the 2003 recruiting class, he brought size, polish, and maturity to the Cardinals, and later transitioned into coaching—evidence of his basketball IQ and team-first approach. If you're evaluating fit, Padgett profiles as a composed, system-savvy post presence rather than a flashy scorer, with leadership and reliability as his calling cards.
