Illinois' Forgotten Prep Star Turned Illini Lineman
Andrew Burk, a 2005 Illinois Fighting Illini offensive lineman, entered college with elite high school credentials—Prep Star All-Region honors, SuperPrep All-Midwest selection, and dominant senior stats of 111 tackles and 11 sacks as a defensive standout—showcasing his explosive athleticism, relentless intensity, and versatility. Though college stats are unavailable, his prep pedigree suggests a high-motor leader ideal for teams needing tough, scheme-versatile DL/OL depth; a smart, gritty fit for run-heavy offenses valuing blue-collar tenacity over flash.
