experienced Furman linebacker with proven tackle production
McKoy is a veteran Furman linebacker who showed he can handle a real workload, producing 64 tackles in the 2021 season while starting seven games and appearing in all 13. He stands out more for reliability, football IQ, and run support than flashy splash plays, which makes him the kind of steady defender coaches trust in the middle of a defense. His earlier freshman impact against Mercer also hints at instincts and downhill urgency. If you want a dependable, physical linebacker who can get aligned and make plays without needing the ball to find him, he’s a fit.
