Freshman utility bat with a polished lefty profile at Utah State
Haylee Lopez arrived at Utah State as a freshman out of Poston Butte HS and is already contributing in the outfield/utility mix, hitting .225 with 9 hits and 5 runs in 2026[4][1]. Her biggest differentiator is her left-handed bat paired with a multi-position profile (OF/INF), which gives a coaching staff lineup flexibility and defensive coverage options[1][4]. Her high-school track record was loud—.538 with 43 hits, 37 RBIs, 15 doubles, eight triples, and four homers—suggesting real upside as she adjusts to Division I pitching[7].
