Mississippi Valley State DL Eric Powell brings veteran size and run-stopping experience
Eric Powell is a 6'3", 240-pound defensive lineman who has been part of Mississippi Valley State’s front for multiple seasons, giving him the kind of experience and interior consistency coaches value on early downs. In 2018, he played in four games and logged 5 total tackles, including four against North Dakota, and the program notes he finished 2019 third in the FCS in fumble recoveries, a sign of disruptive instincts around the ball. He profiles as a steady, physical fit if you want a mature, assignment-sound defender rather than a splashy stat machine.
