Andrew Thacker brings veteran safety instincts and early-career impact to Furman
In the 2004 season, Andrew Thacker was the Southern Conference Freshman of the Year and recorded 70 tackles with 2.5 tackles for loss and 1 interception, signaling a fast-processing, physical safety who could trigger downhill and make plays in space[8]. Furman’s 35-15 record during his career and his three/four-year starting résumé point to a dependable, high-IQ defender with consistency and competitive toughness rather than flash[2][4].
