Kate Franks brought scoring punch, tough shot-making, and veteran poise to Bucknell
Kate Franks was a high-usage G/F for Bucknell who blended a scorer’s mentality with real all-around value: the official Bucknell profile describes her as not afraid to attack the rim, dangerous from three, improving on the glass, and a capable playmaker. In the 2002-03 season, she was Bucknell’s fourth all-time career three-point leader with 83 made threes, scored her 1,000th career point, and posted a career-best 28 points with seven three-pointers against Canisius. She also battled through a hip injury that briefly ended a remarkable ironman streak, which adds a little extra grit to the résumé.
