Sean Yamaguchi brings middle-of-the-order pop and proven Mountain West impact for Nevada
Yamaguchi has already shown he can drive an offense: as a Nevada freshman in 2025, he earned Mountain West Player and Freshman of the Week honors after a .571 week with two homers, and he was also recognized as Mountain West Freshman of the Year. Reliable draft analysis describes him as an above-average hitter with real power, solid hands, and a strong arm at third base, though his range is better suited to the corners than the middle infield. He looks like a high-upside fit for teams needing bat-first infield help with legitimate run-production upside.
