Jan Vide is LMU’s versatile lead guard with proven playmaking upside
Jan Vide’s calling card is a sturdy two-way guard profile: in the 2025-26 season for Loyola Marymount, he averaged 12.1 points, 4.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 0.7 steals while playing 28.7 minutes per game, and he led LMU with 108 assists in 2024-25 before becoming a more complete scorer this past season.[5][18][1] He’s valuable because he can initiate offense, create off the dribble and still defend with enough length and activity to matter; his FIBA résumé also shows high-level production against international competition, which suggests real competitive maturity.[3][17] A fit team should want a lead guard who can handle pressure and keep the ball moving rather than just hunt shots.[1][3]
