The NIU kicker with a proven leg and veteran special-teams experience
Steve Azar stands out as a **special-teams veteran** who has been cited by NIU for his kicking impact, giving him a reputation as a dependable specialist rather than a volume-stat player.[1][7] The biggest reason to care is fit: kickers are judged on consistency, poise, and reliability under pressure, and Azar’s long track record in football suggests a calmer, game-ready profile that can stabilize a roster looking for trustworthy field-goal and kickoff value.[1][7]
