Experienced Georgia Southern guard with deep local roots
Altany is a former Georgia Southern guard from Statesboro who was on the Eagles’ 2013-14 roster as a 6-4 junior and later moved into coaching/recruiting, so the biggest takeaway is familiarity with the program and a basketball IQ shaped by years around the game rather than current on-court production.[1][2][6] Based on the available sources, he is not currently listed as an active player for Georgia Southern, so the fit question is more about basketball knowledge and developmental upside than live stat impact.[1][5][6]
