steady, productive Syracuse linebacker with proven tackle volume
Charles Burton’s Syracuse profile is that of a durable, reliable linebacker who showed production and consistency in the 2001 season, finishing with 118 career tackles for the Orange and starting 12 of 13 games. He’s the kind of defender coaches like because he’s assignment-sound, tough, and built to handle real game volume rather than just flash. The key fit question is whether you want a steady, physical linebacker who can anchor the middle; the answer here is yes, especially if you value trust, toughness, and a no-nonsense defensive presence.
