Duke Golz brings size-and-effort upside to Rhode Island’s defensive front
Duke Golz is a developmental **defensive end** whose value is in trench work: edge-setting, motor, and the kind of physical presence that can translate well in a rotational role. Reliable public stat coverage on his current production is limited, so the best read is profile-based rather than box-score-based—he looks like a fit for a team that wants disciplined, high-effort line play and is willing to coach up traits. If you need an instant headline-maker, he may not be that; if you want a tough, scheme-fitting DE with room to grow, he’s worth a look.
