a proven clutch leg who once powered Nebraska’s scoring
Pickering made his name at Nebraska with a strong freshman season in 2018, when he led the Huskers in scoring with 82 points and converted 14-of-18 field goals plus 40-of-41 extra points; that kind of accuracy and volume is exactly what teams want from a kicker. He also showed real nerve in tight spots, including a three-field-goal game-winner against Michigan State, which hints at a confident, pressure-ready temperament. The catch: the public record here is mostly from his Nebraska years, so current status and recent performance are unclear, but his résumé says dependable, battle-tested, and not afraid of the moment.
