Proven volume receiver with big-play polish and portal watch status
AJ Toney is a 5-foot-9, 165-pound wideout who delivered a productive 2023 season at Alabama A&M, catching 104 passes for 934 yards and 4 touchdowns, which shows he can handle high-volume usage and be a reliable chain-mover. The tape and recruiting notes point to a shifty, versatile playmaker with good separation skills rather than a pure size-speed mismatch, so he fits teams that want quick-game efficiency, slot flexibility, and dependable hands. One caveat: he announced he was entering the transfer portal, so his next landing spot will matter for role and fit.
