Joel Barone brings proven Brown football production from the linebacker spot
Joel Barone is a Brown linebacker with documented impact in the program’s historical record, including a 103-tackle season in 2001 and another 76-tackle year in 2002, which points to a high-volume, reliable run defender who stays around the ball. That kind of production suggests strong instincts, toughness, and consistency—traits that matter more than flashy metrics at linebacker. If you want an inside defender who reads quickly, plays with edge, and fits a physical team identity, Barone’s profile says he belongs on the shortlist.
