Alejandro Vanegas gives UIW a steady right-handed arm out of the bullpen
Vanegas has carved out a useful role for Incarnate Word in the 2026 season as a right-handed reliever, highlighted by a scoreless 1.1-inning outing in a win over Prairie View A&M and a roster profile that lists him as a 6-foot-2 junior from San Luis, Arizona.[1][3] His early-season line shows a 1-2 record with a 6.48 ERA and 1.20 WHIP, suggesting he has had some run-prevention challenges, but his ability to work clean innings and handle leverage spots makes him a name to watch if you value bullpen depth and a pitcher who can attack hitters with a starter’s frame.[5][8]
