Freshman Bulldog with high-contact upside and local-bred grit
In the 2026 season, Ayden Munoz did not see game action for Fresno State, so the scouting picture is still built mainly from his Carlsbad High School track record: a .400 average, .579 on-base percentage, nine steals and a home run as a senior. At 5-foot-9, he looks like a scrappy, athletic lefty-righty bat who can impact the game with contact, speed and energy rather than loud power. He also comes from a baseball family and chose Fresno State for the community and atmosphere, which usually translates to a player who fits a program culture-first.
