Cooper Walls brings SEC-ready upside after Big West breakout
Florida RHP Cooper Walls arrives after a strong 2025 at Hawai‘i, where he won Big West Freshman Pitcher of the Year and posted a 3.73 ERA with 45 strikeouts and 15 walks over 60.1 innings in the 2025 season. The right-hander earned a reputation for poise in big spots, blanking No. 15 UC Santa Barbara for seven innings and shutting out Oregon State over five frames, which says a lot about his competitiveness. Reports also suggest his velocity climbed into the mid-to-upper 90s, making him a high-upside arm if the command keeps tracking.
