North Dakota LB Alex Nelson: seasoned, physical, and built for the grind
In the 2026 season, Alex Nelson is listed as a 6-2, 230-pound senior linebacker for North Dakota, bringing veteran size, Minot, North Dakota roots, and a criminal-justice mindset to the middle of the defense[1]. The public roster lists no current-season stats, so the read here is more profile than box score: he looks like the kind of tough, reliable, local-product linebacker coaches love for pursuit, toughness, and accountability[1][2]. If your team wants a dependable downhill defender with senior experience and a blue-collar edge, Nelson checks the right boxes[1].
