Proven tackler, high-IQ LB with starter experience
Townsel is a seasoned linebacker who has already shown real production and reliability, including starting all four games in Villanova’s 2020 spring season and later playing 34 games with 25 starts across his college career. Villanova’s roster notes praise his quickness and tackling skill, while Hampton credited him with 100 tackles in 2022 and a top-three conference tackle ranking in 2023. He looks like the kind of steady, physical, assignment-sound defender who helps a defense get lined up and makes plays without needing the spotlight.
