Tyler Dunlea brings high-upside right-handed stuff and recent strikeout punch to UMass Lowell
Dunlea is a 6-foot-2 freshman right-handed pitcher from Attleboro who already showed late-season impact for UMass Lowell in 2026, earning a win after three hitless relief innings with five strikeouts against Binghamton. He stands out for a power-minded profile and a resilience story: after UCL repair surgery in high school, he returned to throw 90 mph and kept progressing. That combination of size, feel, and adversity-tested makeup makes him an intriguing fit for teams looking for upside and competitiveness in the bullpen.[2][4][5][7]
