OVC Pitcher of the Week with Elite Strikeout Rate and Two-Way Dominance
Senior left-hander Ryleigh Owens (Lindenwood Lions) is a data-driven powerhouse in the 2026 season, leading the team with 97 innings pitched and 10 wins while ranking 13th nationally with 10.1 strikeouts per 7 innings. Beyond her elite 1.25 ERA, Owens is a rare two-way differentiator who batted .778 with 2 home runs and 9 RBI in a key sweep over Tennessee State, showcasing explosive intensity and a clutch mentality that statistics alone can't capture. Her 5'9" frame, 3.06 home-to-first speed, and 3.67 GPA reflect a disciplined, high-intensity athlete with no known injury history, making her an ideal fit for teams needing a reliable, intense pitcher who can also deliver in the batter's box.
