Russ Abrams gives Colgate a trusted leg and late-game edge
Russ Abrams stands out as a steady, clutch-style kicker whose value goes beyond raw numbers: in the 2000 season, he hit a 40-yard field goal in cold, windy conditions to help Colgate win a tight game, and another report from that same season noted he had made 2 of 5 field-goal tries with a long of 22 yards. That profile suggests a player teams can trust under pressure, especially in weather-heavy or one-score situations, though the limited available stat line also hints at inconsistency early on. If your team needs a calm, situational kicker with game-flipping upside, Abrams is the kind of specialist worth caring about.
