Baylor’s ultra-rare size package with old-school rim protection
John Flippen brings true center size and shot-blocking upside to Baylor, with historical notes showing he was a 7-foot-2 Baylor signee and already a prolific rebounder/blocker in high school; later Baylor stat pages also list him in the program’s all-time blocks leaders, which hints at a real defensive identity. The big question has always been availability and conditioning: reports have noted foot/ankle stress issues and weight concerns, so he looks like a fit for a team that values patience, paint presence, and raw upside over instant polish.
