Cornell LB Dan Weyandt: Unsung Ivy Tackling Machine with NFL-Bloodline Grit
Dan Weyandt, linebacker for Cornell Big Red, stands out as a high-motor, instinctive defender whose family legacy—son of ex-NFL LB Dan Weyandt Sr.—fuels his relentless intensity on the field. In the 2025 Ivy League season, he's projected as a top tackler with elite sideline-to-sideline speed, excelling in run support and coverage drops, making him a plug-and-play fit for 3-4 defenses needing sideline chasers. No major injury history, his blue-collar work ethic and football IQ shine in film breakdowns from Cornell athletics, positioning him as a Day 3 NFL draft gem for teams craving tough, reliable LBs.
