Garvey Rumary brings swing-and-miss upside and starter durability for SDSU
In the 2025 season, Garvey Rumary was one of San Diego State’s more frequently used arms, logging 24 appearances and 60.2 innings with 48 strikeouts, which shows real bullpen-to-rotation versatility and a left-handed look teams always covet. He’s a competitor who can miss bats and work multiple innings, but the rough run-prevention numbers from 2025 also suggest his next step is command consistency and cleaner contact management. For a staff that wants a flexible LHP who can also help in the field as an OF option, he’s an interesting fit with upside.
