SDSU Jackrabbits' Star Safety Whose Career Ended Abruptly
Conrad Kjerstad, a standout strong safety for South Dakota State Jackrabbits from Wall, SD, entered his 2010 senior season just four interceptions shy of tying the school's career record of 14, showcasing elite ball-hawking skills highlighted by his memorable 82-yard pick-six return TD on Hobo Day in 2007. Known for his starting reliability over multiple seasons, his career came to a tragic end due to a severe injury that likely prevented him from ever playing football again, per 2010 reports— a heartbreaking loss of a tenacious, game-changing DB with proven big-play intensity.
