Hasaan Hypolite brings veteran glue-guy energy to Houston’s linebacker room
Hasaan Hypolite is a former three-time Houston captain who gives the Cougars versatility, leadership, and a high-motor presence at linebacker after transitioning from safety; Houston’s roster lists him at 5-11, 215 pounds, and notes he has been a multi-position defender rather than a pure box thumper[1]. He also has a reputation for doing the little things—playing multiple roles, handling special teams value, and bringing steady, trusted veteran vibes—which makes him appealing to a team that wants assignment-sound, tough, adaptable defense more than flashy stat padding[1][9].
