Nikhil Nayar brings leadership-first QB experience to Idaho
Nikhil Nayar is a former Idaho quarterback who was valued as a natural leader and offense-runner, with recruiting notes highlighting his energy for managing each play and his comfort as an integral part of the team. Idaho listed him on its roster in 2020-21, and Nevada later noted he played QB for Idaho from 2018-21 before moving into coaching, which suggests a high-IQ, system-aware profile rather than a stat-padding one. That makes him more interesting for fit and football IQ than for raw box-score production, with no season statistics listed on Idaho’s roster page.
