Luke Guire brings switch-hitting size, glove-first versatility, and high academic/competitive upside to Delaware
Guire is a 6-foot-3, 210-pound switch-hitting infielder who arrived at Delaware as a freshman and brings a strong all-around profile: advanced bat-to-ball feel from high school, legitimate athleticism for his size, and multi-position infield flexibility. His prep résumé included a school-record 125 career hits, a .407 batting average, 82 RBIs, and 49 stolen bases, while scouting reports noted an advanced feel for the barrel and a clean infield arm. He also earned praise for high academics and leadership traits, which makes him a low-drama, high-ceiling fit.
