Garrett Tyler brought perimeter size and hustle to Florida’s frontcourt
In the 2005-06 season, Garrett Tyler was a 6-7, 200-pound junior swingman for Florida who gave the Gators lineup flexibility with his guard-forward size and workmanlike role off the bench[1][6]. His value was less about box-score fireworks and more about being a sturdy, athletic wing who could help the perimeter, compete in key moments, and fit a winning roster without needing touches[1]. If your team wants a low-maintenance connector who accepts role-player minutes and brings energy, he’s the kind of sneaky-useful piece coaches appreciate.
