experienced DB with a journeyman’s edge and playmaking flashes
James Monds brings real defensive-back mileage and a compact, physical style that has translated into steady spot production, including tackles and pass breakups in recent seasons. In 2024 at Middle Tennessee, he logged 8 tackles and 2 pass breakups, and his track record shows a versatile back-end defender who can fit into multiple secondary roles. He’s the kind of DB you care about if you value experience, competitiveness, and a player who’s seen different systems; the upside question is less about tools and more about whether he can keep stacking consistency and ball production.
