steady Troy safety with proven tackling chops
In the 2013-14 seasons, Troy safety Joe Lofton showed reliable, low-drama production as a reserve defensive back, finishing with eight tackles in each season and a modest but clean stat line that suggests assignment soundness over flash[1][3][10]. He’s the kind of player who can help a defense by being where he’s supposed to be, not by chasing headlines—useful if a team wants a dependable, experienced safety with good size (6-0, 202) and a background as a three-year high school starter[2][3].
