experienced USF depth piece with proven tackling production
Gergley is a veteran South Florida cornerback whose value comes more from reliability and assignment soundness than splash plays: in his USF career, he logged 7 tackles total, including 6 in 2016 after 1 in 2015, and he appeared in five games across those two seasons after redshirting in 2014.[1][2] That profile suggests a steady, developmental defender who could help a secondary with depth, technique, and special-teams toughness rather than headline-grabbing turnover numbers, since he recorded no interceptions, pass breakups, or sacks in the available stats.[1][2]
