veteran Toreros linebacker with a blue-collar edge
Mike Zimmerman brings the kind of linebacker profile coaches love: physical, assignment-sound, and seasoned by years in the Toreros system. Available public records show he was a returning linebacker for San Diego and had contributed on defense in earlier seasons, but there isn’t enough current 2026 stat data here to fairly label his exact form. The bigger appeal is fit—Zimmerman reads as a steady, team-first defender who can help with depth, communication, and toughness in the middle of a defense.
