Badger Assistant Coach Honored as Howard Moore Award Winner in 2025-26
Sharif Chambliss, a former two-time honorable mention All-Big Ten guard who tallied 1,107 career points (averaging 14.6 PPG his final two seasons at Penn State in 2003-04), is thriving in his fifth season as Wisconsin's assistant coach under Greg Gard in 2025-26. Named the prestigious Howard Moore Assistant Coach of the Year, he helped deliver the Badgers' fifth straight 20-win campaign, including three top-25 road wins—a rare feat in program history. Known for elite player development on and off the court, his Racine roots, Big Ten pedigree, and winning intensity make him a cornerstone for any program's staff.
