Butler’s do-it-all legend, now a program-level basketball mind
Gordon Hayward isn’t a current Butler player, but as of the 2025-26 season he’s back with the Bulldogs as an Executive Basketball Advisor, bringing rare NBA-level perspective on talent evaluation, player development, and culture. At Butler, his calling card was versatility: in the 2009-10 season he won Horizon League Player of the Year, earned All-Horizon League first team honors, and helped carry Butler to its first Final Four. If a team wants a high-IQ connector who understands winning habits, leadership, and big-game poise, Hayward is the real deal.
