Jeff Lougee is a left-handed bat with real breakout juice for Duke
In the 2026 season, Duke infielder Jeff Lougee looks like a sneaky-impact piece: he’s a left-handed hitter with quick-twitch bat speed, a mature approach, and pull-side pop, and his Cape Cod League summer hinting at a stronger offensive ceiling (.288/.396/.413 in 23 games) has people buzzing. He was Duke’s top recruit, battled a mid-March injury in 2025 that cut short his freshman year, and even cracked his first career home run on March 20, 2026. If you want a bat that can grow into a versatile, high-upside lineup fit, this kid’s worth your attention.
