Mario Wright brings downhill linebacker traits, not WR production
Mario Wright is listed in recruiting sources as a linebacker, not a wide receiver, and was rated a 3-star prospect coming out of Flossmoor, Illinois, with a build suited to contact and run support rather than pass-catching roles. His differentiators are instinctive play recognition, downhill pursuit, and active run defense, but there is no reliable current evidence that he is a UAB wide receiver contributor, so he looks more like a position-mismatch or outdated roster entry than a clear offensive fit.
