Marigney’s rebound-hunting, paint-first game makes Marshall better on the glass
In the 2025-26 season, Leyocha Marigney became a reliable frontcourt piece for Marshall, starting 26 of 37 games and posting career highs of 115 points and 109 rebounds, with a season-best 15 boards against Arkansas State and 14 points in Marshall’s WNIT run. Her biggest differentiator is easy to spot: at 6-3, she brings physicality, defensive rebounding, and a high-motor interior presence that showed up long before Marshall, when she averaged 17.4 rebounds per game at Reedley College. She looks like a fit for teams needing toughness, board work, and low-drama effort every night.
