Herbert Johnson gives Southern a steady, physical edge at DB
Herbert Johnson is a senior defensive back for Southern University who fits the mold of a dependable, experienced back-end defender, with the kind of size and maturity coaches usually want in a DB room. Publicly available team pages confirm his 2025 roster status, but current season stat detail was not available here, so the strongest read is that he profiles as a seasoned, plug-and-play piece rather than a flashy stat-chaser. If you want a DB who can bring experience, discipline, and game-day steadiness, Johnson is worth a look.
