Reliable Backup OL Anchoring EIU's 27th-Ranked Passing Offense
Mike O'Neill is a high-intensity backup offensive lineman for Eastern Illinois who played seven games in 2024, providing crucial depth on special teams and as a reserve OL. His differentiator isn't just size, but his intense film study and relentless practice habits that earned him trust from the new OL coach, Mike McClanathan. While EIU struggled with 35 sacks in 2024, O'Neill's presence helped block for the nation's 27th-ranked passing offense, showcasing his ability to protect elite QBs under pressure. He has no significant injury history, carries a 'next-man-up' mentality, and is a team-first personality who thrives in high-stakes environments. If you need a disciplined, coachable OL who can step in immediately and elevate your passing game, O'Neill is a perfect fit.
