a steady two-way guard with proven poise in big moments
Staubes is a veteran Cal guard whose value comes from reliable ballhandling, playmaking, and composure under pressure; in a 2000 Pac-10 game against Oregon, she made her first career start and delivered a career-high 10 points and 4 assists, showing she can step in and contribute when needed[3]. Cal’s 2000-01 outlook also lists her as a guard who saw minutes at both backcourt spots, which points to lineup flexibility and coach trust[2]. If you need a dependable, versatile guard rather than a high-usage scorer, she fits as a glue player who can stabilize possessions and keep an offense organized[2][3].
