Elite 6-Steal Guard with All-Around Impact at Grambling State
Shawndarius Cowart, a 6'3" senior guard from Pensacola, Fla., stands out not just for his 19-point, 7-rebound, 7-assist, and 6-steal explosion against Alabama State in the 2025-26 season, but for his relentless defensive intensity and unselfish playmaking that elevates the entire team. Unlike typical guards who prioritize scoring, Cowart’s differentiator is his ability to control the game’s tempo while disrupting opponents—reaching a season-high 6 steals in a single contest—showcasing a rare blend of agility, court vision, and competitive fire. Though he graduated Grambling in 2023 and briefly played for Newfoundland Rogues, his return to collegiate form reveals a matured, data-driven athlete who thrives under pressure. With no reported injury history and a personality marked by quiet leadership and high intensity, Cowart is a perfect fit for teams needing a versatile, defense-first guard who can score, pass, and steal in equal measure.
