South Carolina State DB Jaylen Evans brings size, city-pride edge, and veteran presence
Jaylen Evans is a 6-1, 200-pound defensive back for South Carolina State with a veteran profile and local roots from Hartsville, SC, which can matter for reliability and buy-in in the locker room.[5] The public roster/stats pages available here do not provide 2025 production details, so his current impact is harder to quantify than his measurables and status as a graduate student.[3][4][5] If you’re evaluating fit, his appeal is the combination of size, experience, and likely physicality in coverage and run support rather than headline-grabbing stat production.[5]
