Alex-Anne Bessette is Loyola Chicago’s do-it-all freshman spark
In the 2025-26 season, Alex-Anne Bessette quickly became Loyola Chicago’s most complete young weapon, averaging a team-best 11.2 points per game while also ranking among the Ramblers’ leaders in rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks. The 6-foot-2 guard/forward pairs legitimate scoring punch with versatility, defensive activity, and playmaking, which is why she earned Atlantic 10 All-Conference Third Team and All-Rookie Team honors. She also posted multiple 20-point games and showed she can impact winning in more ways than a box score captures, with strong energy, impact, and immediate freshman poise.
