Experienced, Line-Driving NC State Center With a Blue-Collar Edge
Derek Green profiles as a tough, assignment-sound interior lineman whose value goes beyond box-score stats: centers win with communication, leverage, and consistency, and that’s where he stands out. NC State’s official history notes Green as a full-time starter at center who brought physicality and even flashed playmaking flair, including a fumble-return touchdown in a key win. That blend of dependable fundamentals and high motor makes him the kind of center coaches trust to set protections and steady the offense—especially if your team wants a smart, gritty interior anchor rather than a highlight-reel specialist.
