Delaware State Guard Working to Expand Limited Role
Cory Barnes is a guard for Delaware State who came off the bench during the 2022-23 season, averaging 0.6 points in 4.9 minutes per game across 20 appearances. The Milton, Delaware native brings athleticism and defensive potential to the backcourt, but currently operates in a reserve capacity. Barnes transferred through multiple high schools (Cape Henlopen and Archbishop Carroll) before landing at DSU, suggesting adaptability. For teams seeking a developmental guard prospect with upside, Barnes represents a project player who could benefit from increased playing time and offensive opportunities to showcase his full skill set.
